Abstract:
The β-CDP was obtained by the polymerization of allyl-β-CD and AA with azodiisobutyronitrile (AIBN) as initiator, and β-CDP/TiO2 hybrid materials were subsequently prepared by the reaction between β-CDP and butyl titanate. The results of FT-IR,SEM and XRD show that the chemical bond is formed between the TiO2 phases and the polymer matrix in the hybrid, and the organic and inorganic components were well dispersed homogeneously with each other. The results indicated that the electro-rheological (ER) properties of β-CDP/TiO2 was much better than that of pure β-CD and β-CDP.In addition, the effect of ER is best when 40% butyl titanate was introduced into β-CDP.
