Abstract:
20 species of grsshoppers from Linhai Sanjiang wetland were reported,which belongs in 3 surfamilies 8 families, among them, one species is described as new to science. Type specimens are kept in the Institute of Zoology, Shaanxi Normal University.Criotettix transpinoides sp. nov. ( Fig. 1,a、b)This new species is allied to Criotettix transpinus Zheng et Deng,2004, but differs in: 1) width of vertex 1.42 times of an eye; 2) humeral angle arc; 3) with a pair short longitudinal keels between shoulders; 4) hind wing reaching the top of hind process; 5) with 1-3 projections in upper keel of hind femur.Length of body:♂ 11~11.5 mm; ♀ 12~14 mm;Length of pronotum: ♂ 6~6.5 mm; ♀ 18~18.5 mm;Length of hind femur: ♂ 6~6.5 mm; ♀ 7~7.5 mm.Holotype ♀, Zhejiang: Linhai, 121 1′ E, 28 9″ N, 30-July-2009, collected by Bai Yi; paratypes 6♂ 2♀ , same data as holotype.
