Molecular identification of Morchella sp. from Liuling region of east Qinling Moutain

Abstract:
To isolate the Morel mycelium of 8 strains from Liuling region of east Qinling Moutain. The genomic DNA of each strain was extracted,and the internal transcribed sequence(ITS) of rDNA was amplified by PCR. Their taxonomic status were identified based on ribosomal ITS sequences. By bioinformatic analysis of these sequences, the results showed that these strains were identified as Morchella elata, Morchella conica and Morchella esculenta. The constructed molecular phylogenetic tree suggested that among the three morel species, there was a close relationship between Morchella elata and Morchella conica.
