Abstract:
The research was to assess the effects of cross-brain electrical stimulation apparatus on strength performance of professional weight lifters. The strength-related indexes, such as grip strength, standing long jump, back strength, and elbow joint and knee joint in three degrees of 60 /s、120 /s and 180 /s joint extensor/flexor muscle, were tested in the eight professional weight lifters before and after stimulation by the cross-brain electrical stimulation apparatus with 2.5 mA intensity and 5min times. The results show that the strength-related indexes, including their grip strength, back strength, jump high, standing long jump, as well as their elbow and knee joint extensor/flexor muscle strength, have different increase in the weight lifters after treatment by the cross-brain electrical stimulation. The results suggest that the cross-brain electrical stimulation apparatus could improve the maximum strength, speed strength quality and explosive force of the weight lifters, and would be used as an aid apparatus in weight lifting to improve the strength performance.
