Abstract:
To study the absorption, clearance and other pharmacokinetic characteristics of Chlorin e6, and to provide some scientific basis for SDT disposed at different position of tumor, the distribution of chlorin e6 (Ce6) in S180 tumor-bearing mouse was observed. After intravenous injection of the Ce6 in the mice at different time, the fluorescence intensity was determined to estimate its concentration and distribution in the different tissues. The results indicated that the Ce6 in each tissue increased to a peak value within 0.5 hours, and the Ce6 in the tumor had the highest concentration within 4 hours. The Ce6 has the advantages in tumor selectivity, longer retention, and it can quickly metabolize from normal tissues, and has a good prospect for clinical application. According to different metabolic rate in each tissue, tumors at different site should be treated at appropriate time respectively.Based on these results, some information of Ce6 can be applied in clinical diagnosis.
