Analysis on the change of the inbound tourism flow to China in the latest 20 years

Abstract:
Based on the related data of the inbound tourism flow to China from 1990 to 2009, the quantity of inbound tourism flow to China in the latest 20 years was analyzed. The concept of “the quality of tourism flow” was given and the quality of inbound tourism flow to China in the latest 20 years was analyzed. The following conclusions are obtained: in the latest 20 years, the quantity of tourism flow to China and its proportion on the whole world has a sustaining and steady increase with an annual average speed of 5.3%. The quality of tourism flow to China is somewhat low but has a sustaining and steady increase year after year and its increase speed is more fast. The fall of quantity and quality of tourism flow to China is influenced by occasional events and it is short-lived. The overall trend of its sustaining and steady increase can not be changed.
