A survey of grasshoppers from Helan Mountain National Reserve in Inner Mongolia (Orthoptera)

Abstract:
42 species of grasshoppers are involved in this survey, which belong to 2 superfamilies, 7 families and 23 genera. Among them 6 species are described as new to the field, such an Omocestus helanshanensis sp. nov., Omocestus nigritibialis sp.nov., Dasyhippus helanshanensis sp. nov.,Chrysacris albonema sp.nov., Pseudoeosyllina brevipennisoides sp.nov., Pseudoeoscyllina helanshanensis sp.nov. and Omocestus nigripennis Zheng new female are discovered. Type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Shaanxi Normal University.
