Abstract:
The element migration and magnetic susceptibility of two typical loess-paleosol profiles of Guanzhong area were determined and analyzed, the results showed that it was consistent of the Holocene stratigraphic sequence in the east and west region of Guanzhong area, which was Malan loess-transition layer of loess-paleosol-modern loess-topsoil, and the magnetic susceptibility, Rb/Sr, CIA and K/Na curve and A-CN-K of the two profiles proved the east and west region of Guanzhong area experienced the same changes in the climate cycle in the Holocene. These indicators also reflected that the color and the weathering degree of soil between east and west were different. The soil weathering in the west region was higher than that in the east region in paleosol of Guanzhong area, and the east region had a weaker soil weathering than west region during modern loess in Guanzhong area.
