Abstract:
The vacuum distillation (VD) system used for treating paper mill wastewater was investigated. The results show that the initial pH plays an important role in the COD removal. In particular, highest COD removal efficiency of 993% by using VD system in presence of kaolin at pH 7.0 was obtained. In addition, the VD applied in coking wastewater was also investigated, and the results indicate that 989% and 971% of COD and NH3-N removal efficiency were achieved, respectively, and the conductivity less than 54 μS/cm.
