Abstract:
To investigate the effects of estrogen on animal's emotions, social behavior, male Balb/cj mice with innate lower sociability and higher anxiety were used as animal model, the mice were treated with subcutaneous injection of estrogen and Clomifene citrate,their anxiety and sociability were observed and analyzed in the open-field, the elevated plus-maze, the male-male social interaction tests. The results showed that compared with the control group, mice treated with estrogen showed lower level of anxiety, higher loco motor activity and sociability. The results also showed that different levels of β-Estradiol causes changes in anxiety, mobility and sociability of Balb/cj mice.
