Abstract:
The histological characteristics of the Gansu zokor's digestive tract were studied by using histological method. The results show that there were two different kinds of ephithelium in stomach including keratinized stratidied squamous ephithelium and simple colummar ephithelium. The gastric glands in stomach was plentiful, and there were villus-like structure in the body of stomach. The small intestine was longer, which changed lower and lower as it extended to the ileum. The cecum had thin tract wall and spiral cecal folds. The large intestine was relative long, and had vertical folds. The muscle strati of large intestine were thicker. The special histological characteristics of Gansu zokor's gastrointestinal tract maybe meet to their food habit and special living environmentt.
