Particle size distribution characteristics and pollution level of heavy metals in park soil of Xi′an city

Abstract:
The heavy metal content in different soil particle sizes collected from 14 parks of Xi′an city was determined by using X-Ray fluorescence spectrometry, and the pollution level of heavy metal was assessed by Nemerow index method. The results showed that the contents of Cu, Pb, Zn, Cr, Co, Ni and As in soil have a strong correlation with soil particle size.
