Abstract:
In alkaline medium, the weak chemiluminescence reaction of luminol-NaClO was intensified by phenobarbital, and the raction of luminol-NaClO-phenobarbital was enhanced by cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTMAB). Based on above phenomenon, a new flow injection chemiluminescence method for phenobarbital determination was developed. Under the optimum condition, the calibration curve obtained for phenobarbital standard was linear in the concentration range of 4.0×10-7~3.0×10-5 mol/L with a detection limit of 2×10-7 mol/L. The relative standard deviation (RSD) for determination of phenobarbital was 23% (n=11, c=10×10-6 mol/L). The proposed method was rapid, simple and sensitive. The method was applied to the determination of phenobarbital in tablet, recovery rate was from 950% to 1031%.
