Abstract:
Through checking the database about the cited literatures developed by CNKI, the literatures published in Journal of Shaanxi Normal University （Natural Science Edition）from 1974 to 2008, especially the highly cited literatures, were analyzed. Results showed that 4 132 articles (including supplement, news in brief, etc.) were published in the journal from 1974 to 2008, and 1 689 literatures were cited, which occupied about 40.9% of all literatures published. For the cited frequency of literatures was 5 or more, it was 31.1% of the cited literatures, and for the cited frequency of literatures was 1～4, it was 68.9% of the cited literatures; the highly cited literatures focused on mathematics, geography, biology and physics, and the publishing year before 2009 of highly cited literatures was 5～13 a and 21～42 a.
