Abstract:
A method of setting up WebGIS, in which the map format in client side is SVG and the communication between client and server is via Ajax, is proposed. According to the method, a corresponding system is implemented. The WebGIS could provide maps of high quality, high transmission rate and strong interactive capacity. According to the test of the system, it is proven that the proposed method of implementing WebGIS is feasible.
