Abstract:
The present survey was carried out during 2007 in South Eastern of Xizang. The present paper records 26 species of grasshoppers, belonging to 2 superfamlies, 7 families, 25 genera, of which 1 genus and 6 species are described as new. The typical specimens are kept in the Institute of Zoology, Shaanxi Normal University. 1. Eucriotettix nigritibialis sp. nov. (Fig. 1)This new species is allied to Eucriotettix wuliangshanensis Zheng et Ou, 2003, but differs in: 1) width of sulcus of frontal ridge equal to the width of basal segment of antenna; 2) lateral keels of prozona parallel; 3)hind wing reaching the top of hind process; 4) lower margin of midfemur straight; 5) hind tibia black, with a light ring near the basal part.Length of body: ♀14 mm; length of pronotum: ♀19 mm; length of hind femur: ♀8 mm.Holotype ♀, Xizang: Nyingchi, 30.023 75° N, 95.018 53° E, 23-Sept.-2007, collected by Shi Fumin.2. Bolivaritettix zangnanensis sp. nov. (Fig. 2)This new species is allied to Bolivaritettix microptera Zheng et Ou, 2003 and Bolivaritettix pianhmaensis Zheng et Ou, 2003. It differs from both in: 1) width of vertex 2.4 times longer than that of an eye; 2) disc of pronotum with numerous tubercles; 3) hind process reaching beyond the top of hind femur; 4) hind wing not reaching the top of hind process. It differs from the former in: 1) width of sulcus of frontal ridge equal to the width of basal segment of antenna; 2) width of midfemur equal to the width of elytra. Tetrix zayuensis sp. nov. ( Fig. 3)This new species is allied to Tetrix kunmingoides Zheng, 2005, but differs in: 1) vertex protruding ahead of anterior margin of eyes; 2) antennae inserted between the lower margins of eyes; 3) lateral keels of prozona parallel; 4) without a pair of short longitudinal keels between shoulders; 5) width of midfemuir narrower than that of elytra; 6) with a triangular process in the middle of hind margin of subgenital plate of female. Length of body: ♀10～11.5 mm; length of pronotum: ♀8.5～10.2 mm; length of hind femur: ♀5.5～7 mm.Holotype ♀, Xizang: Zayu,28.503 67° N, 97.017 45° E, 9-Sept.-2007, collected by Shi Fumin; paratypes 2♀, same data as holotype.4. Bannatettix serrifemoralis sp. nov. ( Fig. 4)This new species is allied to Bannatettix longicornia Zheng, 1993, but differs in: 1) width of vertex slightly narrower than that of an eye, anterior margin straight; 2) sulcus of frontal ridge wider; 3) in profile, upper margin of pronotum distinctly bulge before shoulders; 4) without a pair of short keels between shoulders; 5) hind wing reaching beyond the top of hind process; 6) width of midfemur equal that of elytra; 7) upper and lower margins of hind femur with big teeth; 8) lower side of hind femur black; 9) hind tibia black.Length of body: ♂8～9 mm; length of pronotum: ♂11～12 mm; length of hind femur: ♂5.5～6 mm.Holotype ♂, Xizang: Bomi, 30.068 14° N, 95.168 98° E, 26-Sept.-2007, collected by Shi Fumin; paratype 1♂, same data as holotype.
