Abstract:
The parameters selection of matching layer of ultrasonic transducers is investigated. When ultrasonil transducers immerse into water, the ideal matching parameters of both the characteristic impedance and thickness are calculated in order to achieve the higher transmission efficiency of the transducers. According to the calculation results, when the value of characteristic impedance is between those of the piezoelectric ceramic and the working medium, the thickness of matching layer takes a quarter wavelength, otherwise the thickness of matching layer takes inteper times of a half wavelength.
