Abstract:
The100 x %MgO-100(1-x) %Ba(Zr0.2Ti0.8)O3(x=03,04,05,06) composite ceramics are prepared by conventional ceramic processing. The effects of the concentration of MgO on the microstructures and dielectric properties of BZT composite ceramics are investigated by the X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and the dielectric spectroscopy. It is found that composite ceramics are formed from MgO and Ba(Zr0.2Ti0.8)O3 (BZT). Meanwhile, MgO has a effect on the reduction of BZT grain size as a grain inhibitor. With the increase of MgO content, the dielectric constant, dielectric loss and the tunability are suppressed gradually, and the dielectric relaxation process is enhanced gradually.
