An improvement of the simplex particle swarm optimization algorithm and its application to optimization of PID parameters

Abstract:
In the course of the partial optimization with the simplex method, the method of 0.618 is used to select the compression factor and expand factor and then an improvement of the simplex particle swarm optimization algorithm is obtained. This improved algorithm is used in PID controller to optimize parameters.Compared with the conventional PID method, a simulation shows that this method makes the optimization perfect and convergence quick.
