Solutions of functional separation of variables to the isothermal compressible Navier-Stokes equations in one dimension

Abstract:
The solutions of functional separation of variables to compressible Navier-Stokes equation in one dimensional space are discussed. By virtue of differentiation and splitting method, some functional differential equations are simplified to the standard bilinear functional equations. And by solving these functional equations, several special forms of the solutions of functional separation of variables are obtained.
