Abstract:
Based on the ecological footprint model, the ecological footprint during 1996—2005 and the ecological capacity in the year of 1996, 2000 and 2005 in Linyi city were calculated, and the degree of sustainable development in Linyi city was also analyzed. The results showed that the ecological footprint per capita increased by 0598 34 hm2 from 1996 to 2005 in Linyi city; the need of fossil resource per capita ecological footprint in 2005 was more than 4 times than that in 1996, and the other five factors fluctuated greatly. The ecological capacity declined from 1996 to 2005, and it changed from the ecological profit to the ecological deficit. The pressure index of ecological footprint increased from 0310 94 in the year of 1996 to 1518 68 in the year of 2005. The ecological footprint per 10 thousands GDP illustrated that resource use efficiency in Linyi city was relatively low. According to the trend line of the per capita ecological footprint, the ecological footprint of Linyi city will increase in the year of 2006—2010, and so do the ecological deficit and pressure index of ecological footprint.
