Abstract:
In the present paper, two new species of Arcypteridae are described. The typical specimens are deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Shaanxi Normal University.1. Euchorthippus qinlingensis sp. nov.This new species is allied to Euchorthippus cheui Hsia,1965 and Euchorthippus herbaceus Zhang et Jin,1985. It differs from both in: 1) precostal area of elytra with intercalary vein; 2) width of medial area as wide as cubital area; 3) cercus of male long and curved, reaching over the top of anal plate; 4) subgenital plate of male long conical, top rounded; 5) upper kneelobe black. It differs from the former in: 1) lateral keels of prozona slightly curved; 2) without dark ocular band. It also differs from the latter by the costal area of female with a white stripe.Length of body: ♂14～15.5 mm, ♀ 22～23.5 mm.Length of elytra: ♂13.5～15 mm, ♀ 15～18 mm.Length of hind femur: ♂10～10.5 mm, ♀ 13～13.5 mm.Holotype ♂, Shaanxi: Fengxian, 106°6′E, 33°9′N, 16-Sept.-2007, collected by Meng Jiang-hong; paratypes 1♂3♀, same data as holotype.2. Chorthippus fusigeniculatus sp. nov.This new species is allied to Chorthippus huchengensis Xia et Jin,1982 and Chorthippus zhengi Ma et Guo,1995. It differs from both in: 1) maximum width of lateral keels of pronotum 2.4 times its minimum width; 2) width of interspace of mesosternal lobes of male 1.6 times its length; 3) width of medial area of male 6 times the width of cubital area. It also differs from the latter in: 1) length of prozona as long as metazoan; 2) kneelobe of hind femur black.Length of body: ♂14 mm, ♀ 20 mm.Length of elytra: ♂13 mm, ♀ 15 mm.Length of hind femur: ♂8 mm, ♀ 11 mm.Holotype ♂, Xizang: Qamdo, 97°3′E, 31°1′;N, 16-Sept.-2007, collected by Tang Hong; paratype 1♀, same data as holotype.
