Abstract:
To study the influence of bisphenol A (BPA) on spermiation and fecundation of Rana chensinesis, adult male R. chensinesis were exposed to BPA (5×10-7,5×10-8mol/L) ,using E2 (5×10-9,5×10-10mol/L) and 1‰ ethanol as control and solvent control, additionally the adult females were exposed to BPA(5×10-7,5×10-8mol/L) for 62 days to observe female ovulation, male spermiation and embryo hatching rate. The results show that BPA has not nearly the effect on female ovulation. From the observation of male spermary by light microscope. The findings indicate that most spermatophore still in the wall of seminiferous tubules supported by sertoli cell for BPA and E2 groups. However, for solvent control and control group, most spermatia have released from the tubules. All the above observations proved that BPA can inhibit spermiation of R. chensinesis, resulting in inhibition of incubation and fecundation.
