Abstract:
Intensive development is the way to solve China′s current problems of land conflict between supply and demand in the process of rapid urbanization and achieving sustainable development. This paper analyze the human—land relationship in urban land intensive use on the base of the definition of urban land intensive use, uses the “Press—State—Response” model to evaluate the urban land intensive use, built up a evaluation system on urban land intensive use upon this, applies the evaluation system in Xi′an city, evaluate the state of urban land intensive use in Xi′an city, the intensive land use comprehensive evaluation index of Xi′an increased from 1996 to 2004, but the land intensive use can not achieve the standards. The potential of further enhancing space is relatively large.
