Structure of male accessory glands and seminal vesicle in Acrida cinerea Thunberg

Abstract:
The histological structure of male accessory glands and seminal vesicle of Acrida cinerea Thunberg were studied by light microscope. It indicates that male accessory glands of Acrida cinerea Thunberg include two symmetric parts, each part consists of fifteen glandular tubes which can be divided into five kinds according to their secretions, and seminal vesicle are composed of two long and slim tubes, together with male accessory glands respectively. Their functions have been discussed.
