Abstract:
Analyzes a new kind of multifrequency transducer with a block-like radiator, which consists of metal cylinder, piezoelectric ceramic pile and block-like radiator. The fundamental modes of the coupled vibration of block-like radiator are analyzed, and the frequency equation of the fundamental modes in latitudinal directions (x,y directions) are given by means of the apparent elasticity method. Meanwhile, based on the one-dimensional longitudinal vibration theory, the resonance frequency equation in longitudinal direction (z direction) of the multifrequency transducer is derived out. Besides, one of the transducer is designed, and its model and harmonic response analysis are done by finite element method. The theoretical analysis and finite element analysis show that this kind of ultrasonic transducer has several resonance frequencies, and it is possible for this kind of transducer with given geometrical dimension to produce several resonance frequencies.
