Abstract:
The antioxidant activity of HAMP[3-(2-hydroxy-4-methoxyphenyl)-4-(3-amine and-4-methoxyphenyl) pyrazole] was investigated by employing several assay systems in vitro, including scavenging 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl radical (DPPH·), superoxide anion radical, reduction, restraining peroxidations of polyunsaturated fatty acid from yolk lipoprotein induced by Fe2+ and β-carotene/linoleic acid. The results showed that HAMP had a strong ability to scavenge O-·2 and to restrain of lipid peroxidation. As a result, HAMP can be used as antioxidant.
