An investigation and protected value of bird diversity in the Bahe River wetland near Xi′an City

Abstract:
Based on the classification of habitats, the route survey and site observation methods are used in the investigation of birds in summer in the Bahe River wetland near Xi′an City. The result shows that totally 33 bird species are observed in the investigation area, belonging to 9 orders and 13 families respectively, in which there are 28 species on the list of protected species of wildlife of National Forestry Department, 2 species on the list of protected species of wildlife of Shaanxi Province. The Bahe River wetland near Xi′an City shows profound diversity potential and protection value for the city ecological construction.
