Abstract:
The scavenging effect of FSGⅠ(Forsythia suspense leaves glycosidesⅠ) on hydroxyl radicals(·OH ) was studied by salicylic acid method. The scavenging effect of FSGⅠon superoxide radicals(O·-2) was studied by method of pyrogallic acid auto-oxidation.The contents of malondialdehyde (MDA) in tissue,and in liver mitochondria and microsome were measured by thiobarbituric acid method (TBA) assay, and the hemolysis extent of red blood cells and the swelling extent of mitochondria of liver were detected by spectrophotometric methods. The results showed that FSGⅠ had the·OH and O·-2 scavenging activity. It could inhibit the generation of MDA, the swelling of mitochondria, and the hemolysis of red blood cells. FSGⅠ had the effect of anti-oxidation in vitro.
