Study on the eigen solutions of the asymmetric double-well potential with electrostatic field

Abstract:
Investigated the eigenvalues and eigenvalue characteristics of both the symmetric and asymmetric double-well models in electrostatic field with two-level approximation and iteration method. The symmetric double-well potential gives rise to the wave functions with certain parity and doublet structures. For the moderate asymmetric well, the doublet structures are existed apparently and the wave functions are all localized in one and another well. With strong electrostatic field, the double-well loses symmetric completely, and the distribution of states is similar to that of the harmonic well.
