Abstract:
On the basis of observing the behaviors of housefly (Musca domestica) in indoor environment, the major behavior types for housefly were defined, described and frequently counted. The behavior types were divided into 11 including flying, walking, grooming, feeding- drinking, defecating, resting, toss-vomit, shaking, mating, and attempt to mating. Each behavior type has its inherent model and adaptation meaning. There are obvious differences in cycle routes of behaviors bwtween feeding and nonfeeding houseflies.
