Abstract:
Aiming at the interconnection and interoperation between the heterogeneous transmission networks and communication devices with various interfaces and protocols in maritime wireless communication scenario, a scalable uniform communication platform is proposed based on network cooperative processing, integration of different equipments and heterogeneous networks convergence. In this platform, various wireless devices access the LANs connected by Ethernet routers. Different types of services are processed and communicated in a cooperative mode. Also, a virtual layer is used to integrate different transmission equipments and to converge the heterogeneous networks. Furthermore, with the uniform communication platform proposed in this paper, an integrated services transmission system for maritime communications is designed and implemented. The experiments show that the proposed system can complete flexible scheduling and reliable transmission of multi services, and it can be pruned according to the equipments and the services, showing certain scalability.
