Abstract:
Time irreversibility is an effective measure of the non-equilibrium characteristic, and it also plays an important role in nonlinear analysis.Some issues on the quantitative time irreversibility are reviewed. It can be demonstrated that it is equivalent to measure the probabilistic difference between forward-backward vectors and between the symmetric vectors.The simplified quantitative time irreversibility methods, based on permutation and visibility graph are reviewed,and the subtraction-based measures for probabilistic difference are analyzed. As for the permutation time irreversibility, some neglected issues such as: the forbidden symbols, equal values are analyzed.Overall, issues related to some theoretical and practical aspects for the quantitative time irreversibility are summarized.
