Abstract:
The expression level of long non-coding RAN NONHSAT068183 (lnc068183) in tumorous tissues from clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) was measured in order to investigate the association between lnc068183 level change and ccRCC clinicopathological parameters. Clinical tumorous tissues and paracancerous normal tissues from 55 ccRCC patients were collected and classified as ccRCC group and control group. Lnc068183 level was then determined and quantified by qRT-PCR assay, and t test analysis was performed to reveal the relationship and significance of lnc068183 level change with clinicopathological parameters of ccRCC patients. Compared with the control group, lnc068183 level was significantly decreased (P<0 .000 1) in tissues from ccRCC group. Concerning the clinical diagnostic parameters, lnc068183 expression level in tumorous tissues was negatively correlated with TNM stage (P="0.005)" and Fuhrman grade (P="0.015)" of ccRCC patients. ROC curve showed lnc068183 was in potential diagnostic use in ccRCC diagnosis. As a tumor suppressor gene, the downregulation of lnc068183 in patient tumorous tissue is potentially associated with the occurrence and development of ccRCC, providing a new clue for the diagnosis, treatment and research of renal cancer.
