Abstract:
A target moving analysis based on distributed vertical linear arrays (VLA) is proposed in this article. Assuming that VLA has the ability of ranging, velocity measurement of target is analyzed firstly, then a least square method is used to calculate target′s velocity in robustness. The article analyzes target′s track with second VLA further. Finally, article indicates that target′s heading can be predicted using third VLA in most cases. Simulation and a real track of a vessel verify the feasibility of this method which means that it has engineering significance.
