Abstract:
Photodynamic therapy (PDT) has been used as a new technology in the clinical treatment of a variety of cancers, in which molecular oxygen plays an important role in the treatment of cancer. Tumor hypoxia microenvironment is closely related to the occurrence and metastasis of tumors and the prognosis of tumor patients. The therapeutic effect of PDT is severely limited by the hypoxic microenvironment of tumors. This article comprehensively reviews the effects of hypoxic environment on the therapeutic effects of photodynamic therapy in the aspects of tumor hypoxia microenvironment, hypoxia-inducible factor, glycolysis pathway and photodynamic therapy, aiming to strengthen and promote tumor deficiency. Further research on the treatment of tumors by oxygen microenvironment and photodynamic therapy, and prospects for photodynamic therapy of tumors in hypoxic environment.
