Abstract:
Taking Yuhu-Changtan rural tourism district in northern Sichuan as a case study, using the methods of interviewing, observing, and online text analysis, two issues are discussed. Firstly, to what extent the tourism development promotes the rural areas revitalizing. Secondly, in the process of rural revitalization, what kind of development mode has formed in rural tourism development. Results show that it is a feasible way to realize rural revitalization by developing rural tourism, which leads to the revitalization of the rural areas in ideology, organization, culture, population, environment and economy, and they will also feedback to the development of rural tourism. The development of rural tourism has formed the model of “Management Committee+Enterprise+Villager” as the main body, with the significant characteristic of “festival activities”.The role of each subject in the development of rural tourism will changing with time going, however, the government’s role of supervision and coordination is indispensable.
