Abstract:
Functional spherical mesoporous hollow silica nanomaterials (SMHSi-FITC) were synthesized by post-modification, and the biocompatibility of SMHSi-FITC on A549 cells was tested. XRD, TEM and PL spectra were employed to characterize the as-prepared materials. The results indicated that the SMHSi-FITC particles with good monodispersion possess the ordered mesostructure outer shell with 140 nm thickness and the hollow with 100 nm. The SMHSi-FITC particles show good bioactivity for A549 cell and 100% viability of A549 cells in the concentration of 60 μg/mL SMHSi-FITC/cell culture fluid. The phagocytosis of SMHSi-FITC cells accounted for 93.6% of the total number of A549 cells, indicating that the prepared particles have potential application in drug loading and delivery.
