Abstract:
According to the theory of new economic geography, spatial econometric model was built based on the provincial panel data from 2001 to 2014 along the Silk Road Economic Belt to analyze the spatial effects of traffic infrastructure on regional tourism economic growth. The research shows that, an evident global spatial dependence is observed in the provincial tourism economic growth along the Silk Road Economic Belt, showing “agglomeration club” phenomenon. The regional tourism economic growth has a significant positive spillover effect, and the spillover effect in southwest region was greater than that in northwest. The positive contributions of different traffic modes on regional tourism economic growth are spatially different, the role of civil aviation was the largest.
