Abstract:
Using the data from Duozhijian, Dabieshan Mountain in west Anhui province, species-area relationships of arbor, shrub and herb species were modeled by logarithmic, power and logistic model, respectively. The results showed that the canopy species fitted logistic model best, while the shrub and herb species fitted logarithmic model. Different types of species area relationship curves indicated the different assemblies of arbor, shrub and herb species. Habitat heterogeneity, dispersal limitation and regional ecological process contributes to the species-area relationship of arbor species, while the species-area relationships of shrub and herb species are influenced by the ecological habits and the jointly effects of habitat heterogeneity and upper community structure. Different life forms and comprehensively analyses were suggested to explore the mechanism of species diversity maintaining using species-area relationships.
