Abstract:
In order to obtain PbNb2O6-based ceramics with high density, single orthorhombic phase and high piezoelectric properties, the effects of the excess PbO amounts into the calcined powders with the orthorhombic phase on crystallite structure, microstructure, dielectric and piezoelectric properties of the ceramics were studied. The results show that the ceramics possess improved microstructure after adding the excess PbO. As the excess PbO amount is 4% (mass fraction), the ceramics demonstrate optimum properties:equiaxed grains with the mean size of 9.9 (m, high relative density of ≥94%, Curie temperature of 539 ℃ and piezoelectric coefficient d33 of 62 pC/N.
