Abstract:
Based on the data of GDP and cultural industry added value from 1997 to 2014 in Xi′an city, which including ten districts and three counties, utilizing the methods of regional gravity center and geographic concentration index, the coupling characteristics of the regional economy and cultural industry are explored. Results showed that there is a deviation of cultural industry center and economy center in spatial distribution, but they are coupled in general.The geographical concentration of industry appears higher in the south and lowed in the north, while the geographical concentration of economy presents layer structure, which reduced from the center to the surroundings. On the whole, the development of cultural industry and economic demonstrates layer structure, expanding from the core inner city to the surroundings, the region discrepancy of cultural industry is higher than economic. The cultural industry in Xi′an city can be classified into three types, that is, retarded type, coordinated type and advanced type. The difference of location, rising of cultural industry and adjustment of cultural industry are main factors that influencing the coupling of regional economy and cultural industry.
