Abstract:
The early development of the flower of Camellia Sinensis was described from initiation to the formation of the flower bud. The morphogenesis and growth rate of floral organs were recorded in detail using paraffin sectioning. The time of flower bud differentiation concentrates on the end of May to the end of June, until mid-October, a large number of flower buds reaches into the flowering stage in Ziyang, Shaanxi. Flower bud development could be divided into early stage of differentiation, formative stage of sepal primordium, formative stage of petal primordium, formative stage of stamen primordium and formative stage of pistil primordium. The five stages include a series of landmark events. After the process of flower bud differentiation it enters into the development of floral organ.
