Abstract:
The horizontal coil of tri-axial array induction is more seriously affected by the borehole than the array induction. The numerical models can not correctly simulate the influencing characteristic of the short sub-array. Thus the response characteristics of tri-axial array induction logging must be measured and modified by the physical device. Based on the numerical calculation software of the tri-axial array induction logging in the water test tank, the logging response characteristics of tri-axial array induction logging are analyzed. The application conditions of the test device response are given in the standard 8in borehole. The results show that the measuring error of the horizontal coils is greater than that of the vertical coils′. The device is not suitable for the longest sub-array 8. For sub-array 1 to 7,when the liquid conductivity in tank is appropriate′ the ground effect can be ignored.
