Abstract:
Annexin A2 (ANXA2) is excessively expressed in hepatocellular carcinoma cells. To study the effects of the ANXA2 expression on the distribution of F-actin and the remodeling microstructure in human hepatocellular carcinoma cells, ANXA2 expression in SMMC-7721 cells was inhibited using RNAi method, then the expression, polymerization, distribution of F-actin were detected, observed using immunofluorescence assay. The results showed that the inhibition of ANXA2 expression weakens the expression and distribution of F-actin significantly.Additionally, the microstructures, such as pseudopodia and filopodia, associated with cell motility can be significantly remodeled and reduced. The results offer the mechanism that the ANXA2 affects F-actin expression and rearrangement, and remodels the microstructures in SMMC-7721 cells.
