Abstract:
An ankyrin repeat family protein gene(SmARP)from Salvia miltiorrhiza was cloned using TD-PCR.Bioinformatics analysis showed that the calculated molecular mass is 19,064 kD, and the theoretical isoelectric point is 8.4. Ankyrin repeat protein in S.miltiorrhiza is an unstable protein without signal peptide and transmembrane segments. Predicted secondary structure of SmARP contain, alpha helix( 39.64% )and random coil (42.01%).The three dimensional structure model of SmARP showed that each repeat folds into two antiparallel α-helices followed by a long loop. The real-time PCR results showed SmARP expresses in roots, stems,leaves and flowers of S.miltiorrhiza.
