Abstract:
By utilizing mode-locked technology based on nonlinear polarization rotation(NPR),the laser delivers the solitary pulse with the duration of 675 fs, a 3 dB band width of 10 nm and a fundamental frequency repetition rate of 27.8 MHz at 1 568.4 nm in a mode-locked Er-doped fiber ring laser. Further increasing the pump power, the mode-locked pulse output in the bound state is obtained, with a central wavelength of 1 570 nm, a 3 dB band width of 9.8 nm and a pulse width of 535 fs, and the fourth-order bound state with a pulse interval of 7.2 ns and a repetition rate of 139 MHz.
