德行论视域中的中国儒家伦理与品格教育

摘要:
德性伦理学已经成为克服效益论与义务论所造成的道德教育弊端的良方。通过对儒家伦理思想与西方德性伦理学的比较发现,儒家伦理几乎具备了德性伦理学的所有8个重要特征:即强调品格之上,主张目的论,肯定人性的可塑性与德行后天性,以中庸之道作为德行培养的标竿,追求自然主义,强调实践智慧与道德德行的共生关系,强调德行一体以及注重伦理学、政治哲学和公民教育的密切联系。中国儒家伦理学在一定程度上超越了德行伦理学。中国儒家德性论可以作为品德教育的理论基础。

Abstract:
In this paper, the author tries to reconstruct a systematic theory of the traditional Confucianism from the perspective of virtue ethics, and to explore the possibility and properness of this virtuebased Confucianism as philosophical foundation of contemporary character education. The chief strategy of this article is to enumerate common features of Western Virtue Ethics, then check if these features appear in Confucianism. Based on the comparison of Chinese Confucianism with Virtue Ethics, we discover that Confucianism shares lots of common features with virtue ethics. Therefore, we can conclude that it is possible to build up a virtuebased Confucian ethics, and use it for the philosophical foundation of character education for the contemporary Chinese Societies.
