Abstract:
Up till now too many differences and disputes have arisen in interpretations of the university conception by research sources. One of the noticeable reasons for this situation is lack of methodology. The university conception as a form of ideology shows itself in the primary qualities of existing universities. Although the conception states the ideal features a university should assume in form of rational recognition, expressing people’s expectation or longing of some kind, its real semantic involves a reflection and generalization of the actual features of existing universities, which incorporates obligation with actuality and rationality with naturalness. What gives a direct meaning to this unitarity is not the educational researcher’s or practitioner’s cognition and mind, nor the university member’s favour and idea, but the organizational conduct or collective action of the university as a, assembly of people. In this sense, the university conception can be interpreted as the collective consciousness to control the university’s behaviour shaped by the mutual effects of different participants, which involves the understanding of regularity of the university’s goal and proper behaviour and organizational perception of willingness to do such.
