Criticism of the theory of “cultural imperialism” doesn’t mean that cultural imperialism is not there, but that this idea is far from enough to state the current globalization and cultural effects caused by it. Therefore, the “globalization” should be upgraded to a new idea, or should at least be seen as a new perspective. Similarly,“global culture” or “cultural globalization” cannot be regarded as cultural westernization or homogenization or “cultural imperialism”. Rather, they should be considered as a new form of concept of cultural changes in times of globalization. As a result, it may be expected that the idea of “world literature” introduced by Goethe and Marx will gain enrichment and innovation.
